The Best of 2018

Now that the tree is down, the fine china has been stored away, and the confetti has been cleared, I thought it would be great to reflect upon the best of the 2018 blog.
Every month I try to bring awareness to some product/service/trend that I think will add to your life...or at least make your beauty routine easier. These are the things that stood out as the highlights of 2018!

The June Blog brought in the newest trend in hair extensions with my partnership with Halo Couture. This method is completely damage-free to your existing hair, does not require any salon maintenance appointments, and is so easy and comfortable to wear! All of their pieces are created with 100% human remy keratin-treated hair, and they are GORGEOUS.
Transforming your look has never been quicker or easier, and I've gotten nothing but rave reviews from my clients who have taken the plunge. Set up a consultation appointment today to see how halo extensions could work for you. I promise you won't regret it!

The summer 2018 water crisis left the greater Salem area trying to figure out what their water source was, and whether is was safe to use.
The crisis was a blessing in disguise -- figuring out where my tap water came from helped me to dramatically heal my hair...and the hair of my clientele.
In July I talked about my journey and how it lead me to Malibu C's Hard Water Wellness shampoo. By removing the hard water mineral deposit from my hair, I discovered my hair wasn't actually ruined. Without that hard mineral shell, both Olaplex and my deep conditioning treatments actually began to work. My color became less brassy. And my hair started to feel like my hair again.
So many of my clients have struggled with the same issues, and since they started using the Hard Water Wellness shampoo, they tell me they've gotten their hair back! That after they wash their hair it actually feels clean and not filmy. And that it feels cleaner, longer.
I have yet to have one client give me negative feedback about this product, which is saying a lot. I've always got bottles of this available at the studio, why not try it for yourself?

Not to keep going on the Halo Couture band wagon, but when something is good, it's good! Not only does this company make superior hair extensions, but they know how to make an amazing hair care/styling product!
In October I talked all about the Halo Couture Silk Spritz Luminous Hair Oil; there is so much about the benefits of this stuff, it's really just best to check out the blog.
This is a gorgeously scented lightweight hydrating oil mist, that is humidity-resistant and give your thermal style memory even days after you last styled it.
Also, if you're looking to try out the Glass Hair trend, this is the product you'd need!

I wound towards the end-of-the-year wrap up in November with a true-blue PSA; no products to promote, only genuine hair advice from the bottom of my heart.
I covered:
The need for sulfate-free shampoo
When and how to shampoo your hair
The science behind conditioners
How to care for fashion/vivid hair colors
Toning shampoos and color-depositing conditioners
The deal about dry shampoo
Turning down the temperature of hot tools
There is so much good info in this post, lots of super practical tips, plus a little science for those of you interested in the why behind these suggestions.
Now that we're done reflecting upon the best of 2018, I'm so excited to see what 2019 has in store for us in the hair world!
What type of blog posts do you find to be the most helpful? Shampoo/conditioner or styling product recommendations? How about learning about new salon services I'm excited to offer? Or perhaps posts about plain old hair advice -- styling tutorials, or how to better take care of your hair at home?
